This situation that we describe is very real. It puts many Managers in the embarrassment. The reason ? A blurred visibility on their area of responsibility that gives them little room for maneuver, and at the end, an impact well below their objectives, not to mention delays. If only they could have the right information, in a timely manner, to make the right decisions through preventive and / or corrective actions!

 

This reality also impacts employees who are - in part - the source of their setbacks. If you have to search for information, compile data, analyze, respond to a request from their hierarchy in a time T ... And it is the course of the fighter that snaps with times that explode! The mood and the work atmosphere? We talk about it more.

To try to solve this imbroglio, more real than it seems, organizations invest in various tools developed in spheres with macro and socio-economic realities different from ours and which do not always adapt to our markets. In truth, this is only the tip of the iceberg: employees who are often poorly trained in these mostly complex tools - and the organization can not afford the luxury of a local after-sales service which is itself limited, very expensive and which is more focused on commercial representation - feel the need to return to their quiet spreadsheets or databases from which they feel more comfortable. In the end, the results are identical to those mentioned above: blurred visibility results below perspectives and especially big waste of time and money.

Let's take the example of Office softwares present in almost all computers in a professional environment:

• How many employees continue to use the same basic functions found in these software for more than a decade, and continue to ignore the immense potentiality they abound?

• How many employees lose a day's work to have stumbled on a feature or do not know how to optimize a work by lack of control of the tool? Can we imagine the time lost for a user to turn away from his business heart and the one he loses to his employer whenever the case is repeated? 

​​

• How many organizations have relocated units that continue to work old-fashioned, who want to modernize but can not, because of the exorbitant costs that this would entail?  No doubt also because there is not their vocation! They have to do with the means at hand even if the will is not lacking.  Moreover, it is expensive for them to undermine a process of recruitment and integration to find a supposedly more adequate employee ... which nothing presages that it will remain long enough to amortize its costs of recruitment and training.

Finally, the IT department, when it exists, essentially brings together technical skills such as network management and IT maintenance and much less those of specialists in powerful office automation tools or adapted software development, specific to the organization.  This reduces it to a basic support mission to users and offers them little better prospects in their core business.
